Thinking of boarding your horse? Wilderness Ranch offers the ideal facility. We are a private working ranch in Southern California's coastal mountains surrounded by thousands of acres of federal wilderness and scenic trails.  The Ranch is a full-service facility with all the amenities seldom found at public stables and riding centers.

If you don’t feel like driving home, bring your personal gear and stay overnight. Boarders have access to the private camp area, which is complete with a cook tent, fire ring, bar-be-cue and tent cabins. Beautiful trails and ocean vistas are just a ride away.

Training and Lessons

Training and lessons are available for western pleasure, English hunt-seat with beginner to intermediate jumping, dressage, and recreational riding.

Mares and Foals

Prior to opening for boarding, Wilderness Ranch was a breeding operation. As a result, we are very experienced in caring for pregnant mares and foals.

Retirement and Lay-ups

 Due to our many options and our peaceful environment, we have become popular as a retirement and lay-up facility. All horses at our ranch are cared for as if they were our own.
